Almond House, the leading name in Hyderabad’s chaat and mithai milieu, asked us to create an experience for their new outlet. The aim was to evoke an atmosphere of wonder and delight among customers - especially children - walking into the store, as well as to enhance the customer experience with an increased sense of participation.  And so we dreamed up the 'Almondverse' - a world that amplified the ethos and products of the brand, allowing customers to immerse themselves in a truly unique store experience. 

We created the Almond News Network, a fictitious news channel set in the Almondverse. News bytes play on the screens in the store at different times throughout the day. Themed on a particular sweet or savoury item, each video segues into a song, finally culminating in a free sampling of the particular snack for the customers.

We designed new uniforms for the staff, including one for the doorkeeper - the first point of entry into the experience. The doorkeeper offers you a map and invites you to undertake a quest in the Almondverse.  

A series of maps with a fun, illustrated layout of the store, offered to customers as they enter; they introduce quests, easter eggs and secret menu items. Tasks include quizzes, blind taste tests, crossword puzzles, and a number of interactive games. They are specially designed for children between the ages of 6-12 years. 

We composed a repertoire of catchy, dramatic chants, actions, and songs for the staff to perform periodically over the course of a day. Each takes place at a specific counter (such as the nuts and dry fruits section), or is related to a certain product. The chant culminates with a free sampling of the product.
